favorite things

my daughter started this blog for me sometime ago and this is my first post so please be kind i’m a beginner.  so these are some of my favorite things pretty dishes and lilacs in springtime. every time i empty my dishwasher it’s like a bouquet

this is my favorite big coffee cup it is beautiful. i don’t drink coffee but i do use it for everything else like jello, diet soda, ice tea, breakfast cereal, apple slices and of course ice cream…

the lilacs are just beginning to open. soon there will be bouquets in pretty dishes of all kinds all around the house the smell of fresh-cut lilacs will fill the air i can’t wait 

i told you i’m new to all this blogging stuff  i promise i will do better next time until then thanks for stopping

the curbside rocker

okay…blissful blog readers…

i am going to start getting everything figured out…and post more often.

here are some pictures of the curbside rocker i found and had mom pick up.  the transformation is awe-inspiring.

i’ve been gone~

i’ve been gone…and i’m so very, very sorry.  the shoppe has taken up all my time.  i just went through all my pics and found some i need to post…

 

i promise i will…when the world slows down…i’m thinking around thanksgiving…hopefully sooner…possibly later…

NOPE!  just super busy…and neglected our blissful baby blog.

but with fall around the corner (heck, here) we’ll be getting back into the swing of things.  mom’s got some new ideas and some fun before and after pictures…i’ll hunt those down and get them up here so you can see the magic mom makes…

junkin’ on james

our occasional sale, Junkin’ on James {~122 west james street~paynesville, mn~} will premiere Thursday-Saturday, July 7th-9th.  mom is working furiously on painting some fun new pieces that we’ve come upon.  i’ll post before and after pictures as she finishes everything up.  we’ll be putting everything in the junkin sale in a couple weeks…

also…all pieces will be done and ready to put into your house, cottage, cabin, guest cottage, etc.  no painting, upolstering, stapling, or tweaking of any kind needed.

As for her new Flea Market Sacks…they will also be for sale in the courtyard, on etsy, and in the shoppe.

our blissful business, Sweetwater Cotton Shoppe, is a quilt shop geared toward the blissful cottage side of things.  we only make quilts, pillows, and accessories that we love and feel will fit into a blissful cottage.  here are several of my favorite shots…

lilac love

i have this deep love of lilacs.  the color, the aroma, the sign of spring…i can’t really explain it.  our lilacs at home are still small so we have to search elsewhere for blossoms.  there is a large bush {i’m talking 12 feet tall and the size of a car}…it bursts with flowers from a tree line and beyond the line is a creek.

i tresspass to pick these…what i will do for a lilac…
